What is a Churro?

A churro is a stick of cinnamon- and sugar-fried pastry dough with Spanish and Portuguese origins. Because they are fried rather than baked, churros have a fluffy and soft interior and a satisfyingly crunchy exterior. Churros (Mexican fries) are very common at fairs. In my border town, the line at this stand is always overwhelming. People wait in line for hours to taste this churro. I am sharing the recipe of this dish, check it out –

1 cup all-purpose flour

Vegetable oil for frying

1/4 cup sugar (for coating)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the all-purpose flour. Stir until the mixture forms a smooth dough.

Is churros made of Maida

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot to about 350°F (175°C).

Transfer the churro dough into a pastry bag fitted with a star-shaped nozzle.

Carefully pipe strips of dough directly into the hot oil, using a knife or scissors to cut the dough at the desired length.

Fry the churros until they turn golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Once the churros are cooked, remove them from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.

In a separate bowl, mix 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Roll the warm churros in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat them evenly.
