Dhokla Ingredients List
Ingredients:
Gram flour – 2 cups
Sesame seeds – 2 tbsp
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Raw chilli paste – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
salt
sugar
Curry leaves – 7-8
Black mustard – 1 tsp
Green chillies – 2-3
Traditional Dhokla Recipe
Procedure:
Mix gram flour, semolina with water and make a batter and keep covered for 20 minutes. The batter should be medium so not too thin. After 20 minutes add salt, sugar, ginger, chilli paste, little turmeric, 2 tsp oil It should be mixed very well.
Oil should be applied in the vessel for making dhokla.
Now boil water in another big pot.
Now mix the dhokla batter with baking powder and baking soda and mix well by hand. Once mixed, immediately pour into the dhokla container.

When the water starts boiling, place a stand over the steamer, place the dhokla pot on it and keep it covered on low flame for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, use a fork spoon. Check with If raw, let it cook for another 5 minutes. Once cooking is complete, cool the dhokla pot and press it upside down on a plate to release the dhokla. Now grind as desired.
