Guru Nanak was the first of the ten Sikh Gurus. He was born on April 15, 1469, in a Hindu family at Nankana Sahib near Lahore in present-day Punjab province of Pakistan. Although the name of the village was Raj Bhar Di Talbandi. Later the village was named Nankana Sahib after Nanak. Today there is a large Sikh place of worship called Gurdwara Janam Asthan…..!!
